Getting Involved
Installed VIVO and looking to modify or extend it? Want to join the open source community? You are welcome to become a VIVO contributor and participate in the growing VIVO implementation and development community across the world.
Most community activity around VIVO happens via the vivo-dev-all mailing list and weekly development calls, currently held using GoToMeeting and/or phone call-in on most Thursdays at 1 pm Eastern Standard Time. Please join the vivo-dev-all list at the link above to receive the weekly call agendas, to follow open discussions around software and data ingest, and to submit your own questions or ideas.
Each release of the VIVO software includes an installation guide for new adopters and an upgrade guide for those with an existing VIVO, in the Project Documentation section of this Sourceforge site. The development and implementation sections of the VIVO wiki provide additional documentation as well as agendas and notes from implementation and development conference calls.
